Forestmedia is a non-profit organisation which will work with individuals, groups and organisations to raise public awareness of the importance of native forests, and to publicise the problems associated with their destruction through current forestry practices. SKILLS
Forestmedia is calling on people to donate their most valuable resources – their time and skills, to help inform the majority of Australians about the reasons why Australia and the world will benefit from saving the forests.

Some that might be needed belong to:
Cinematographers, journalists, writers, photographers, artists, graphic designers, video editors, sound editors, actors, musicians, administrators, managers and anyone who is interested in Australia’s forests.

The Forestmedia resource centre will keep a register of names of those who can donate time and skills to help in various ways. We will contact you when projects are being planned and implemented, and seek your help. Whether you can help is entirely up to you.

    ARCHIVE
Forestmedia wants to keep an archive of video footage and still photography that is related to Australian Native Forests and campaigns for saving them. If you are prepared to donate copies of footage to our archive, they will be kept safely and used by others only with your permission.

    EQUIPMENT REGISTER
Forestmedia will also keep a register of equipment that might be able to be loaned for different activities. If you have any equipment that you are prepared to loan the network, we would love to keep that on our list as well. Of course, whether you are able to loan it is up to you at any time.
    Equipment could include:
Video cameras, still cameras, sound recording equipment, video editing equipment, computers, printers, scanners, data projectors, signage.

Gulaga National Park, SE New South Wales, Australia

Picture
This gorgeous photo by Ms Nina is of Gulaga National Park. It's a rare sight these days to see such beautiful forests outside national parks. In 2009 the national park was extensively damaged by a fire lit by Forests NSW which got out of control.
